To enhance the recognition of it’s Members, the PGA of Australia has designed a specific PGA Professional logo to more closely identify members with their association in a manageable way. This booklet has been developed to demonstrate to all PGA Members how and where they may use the PGA Professional logo.
PGA Professional Logo Style Guide and Usage Rules
Personal use of the PGA Professional Logo is intended to benefit individual PGA Members; therefore use of the logo is the responsibility of each PGA Member and may not be used by anyone else. For example, if your employer wishes to use the PGA Professional logo in a newspaper or telephone directory ad, use of the ad must contain your name as outlined in the guidelines and must be authorised by your PGA Divisional Office.
Following are three simple rules for PGA Members who wish to utilise the PGA Professional Logo. The rules are explained in detail with examples on the following pages. Please read carefully before deciding to use the Logo.
Unauthorised or inappropriate use of the PGA logo or PGA Professional logo is a violation of the PGA Code of Ethics, PGA Copyright and subject to sanctions.
- 1. In the interests of all PGA Members and the Association, the PGA of Australia shall take all available steps to protect its intellectual property and will defend the PGA marks to the full extent of the law.
- 2. All Members using the PGA Professional logo should be employed in a traditional role within the golf industry.
- 3. Members working outside the golf industry may make the statement of fact that they are a PGA Member but may not use any form of the PGA Professional logo.
